Update

So, here is a short update of what we have been up to this past week or so.  As many of you know, I have been "in-between" jobs for the past few weeks and am really enjoying being unemployed.  In fact, I like it so much I have contemplated making it a permanent thing.  However, a few bills showed up and the house payment is sitting in the "bill pile" so I figure that is likely not the best long-term plan. I start my new gig on Wednesday.

Since I will be working from home, Jamie and I have been busy working on my "office" which my upstairs "man-cave".  For those of you who had seen it, I had my couch at the South end and my TV at the North end.  (not actually those directions for those of you who are trying to figure out the layout of my room compared with magnetic North.  For this demo, the "North End" actually faces East)  Since I need to place a lot of furniture up there (desk, etc.) I had to relocate the TV and couch to an east/west setup so I could free up the other half of the room.  Rewiring the cable was a minor pain but really not that big of a deal.  I also had to remove my stereo system and surround sound speaker system.

The biggest change was I installed a door at the top of the stairs.  It was a pretty fun project that I knocked out a couple of weekends back. 

My furniture is set to come in ("we don't know.  The system says October, but that could change").  Really, it could change?  Is that why you told me early September, mid September at the latest?  Now it is October?  I wish I wasn't so excited with what I picked out.  It would be easier to just go buy something else.

Today, Jamie and I put the first coat of paint on the upstairs bathroom.

It looks pretty good.  The blue goes well with the orange room.  Wow, that sounds bad.  I am sure it sounds scarier then it is.  I will take some pictures when it is all put back together.
